im from cebu and we've all been waiting for the day this would be realized. Cebu has an underdeveloped infrastructure - no trains, narrow roads, etc. Constructing this network would be really interesting.

Construction of Cebu's bus rapid transit project eyed in 4Q 2013
MANILA - The Department of Transportation and Communications on Wednesday said it expects construction of a bus rapid transit system in Cebu to start in the fourth quarter of 2013.
During the 38th Philippine Business Conference and Expo, Undersecretary Rene Limcaoco said the BRT system is a cheap light rail transit service.
The first of its kind in the Philippines, the BRT, one of the Aquino administration's Public-Private Partnership Project, is patterned after those in Bogota, Colombia; Curitiba, Brazil; Seoul, South Korea; and Guangzhou, China.
Limcaoco said the government is eyeing a loan from the World Bank to finance the project, construction of which would require $7-10 million per kilometer.
The Cebu BRT system will have 176 buses that will run through dedicated and exclusive bus-ways from Bulacao to Talamban, with a link to the South Road Property.
Limcaoco said the project would have 33 stations with a distance of 23 kilometers. The buses will also traverse Cebu City’s business district, residential areas, shopping centers and key tourist sites. The service will benefit 330,000 passengers a day when it starts operations in 2015.
