I know someone who made a fortune there. According to her, all you need to do is to have a self control. You must set your mind that once you achieve your target for the day, you should stop playing and don't ever comeback again for a couple of days or weeks. Likewise, bringing to much dough is a big no. Limit must always be set.

Pre nung naglalaro pa ako dyan sa Casino Filipino na dating Duty Free, lahat libre sa akin kc may VIP card ako. Minsan nga niyayaya ko lahat ng player sa table para kumain sa mga restaurants dun ng libre. Bibigyan mo lang ng tip ung waiter. Isa un sa marketing strategy nila gaya ng iba pang mga casino. ibebeybi ka nila para bumalik balik ka.

Self-control is all but a concept designed by the mind to justify winnings. What most people should understand that the variables taking place are independent to one another. In other words, practices like taking your money and trying again after X months are simply.. well... pointless. Might as well make up a myth that scratching your butt 10 times every turn increases your "luck" by +400%.

Whatever you do, the house is still against you whatever you do. So over the long run, many people will still lose. A small portion might win but the overall outcome will inevitably favor the house. If you'd have to play a game, the most "fair" game would probably be Poker as it takes skill into account.

To answer the thread, it's mostly to kill time and socialize with the people. I'm simply amused at people who bet big with a huge smug on their face

I have never gone to one nor do I intend to. Likewise, in my line of work (where we manage funds of other people), going to a Casino or gambling is unethical.

Once upon a time, a senior officer of the bank i worked for previously, saw a client who had considerable borrowings coming out of a hotel casino. He immediately contacted some people and determined that the said person was indeed, seen frequenting casinos. We immediately called on the loan and had him pay it down immediately unless he fully backed the loan (in cash). He paid us off instead and later on, the business of the guy hit hard times and the other banks had to foreclose on the assets (We got off scott clean).

Poker is 70% luck and 30% skills. It won't matter whatever skills you have if the cards dealt for you every time are rubbish.

Dun sa Resorts World naglalaro ako. Nakakabwisit ung mga tumataya ng pa bente bente. Nakakagulo lang minsan pag bayaran. Worse case meron nag siside bet ng 5 petot. Yung mga ganung instances, napapailing na lang ako. Grabe ang pagka adik ng mga un sa sugal. Yung iba ginagawa ng hanap-buhay ung paglalaro. One time meron pa ako nakasabay na tricycle driver na taga dun sa amin. Bakit ganun sila? Tanong ko. Ikakain na lang ng pamilya nila, isinusugal pa. Isang kahig, isang taya tuloy ang lumalabas na buhay nila.
