Even in MM where cashless transactuons are prevalent I stil maintain at least 2K nga. You'll never know when you need hard cash for emergencies.

Treated my balikbayan relatives for lunch kanina. I was wondering why the bill was taking so long, then the waiter asked me if I had cash because their terminal was down. I used to carry cash all the time but since the pandemic, mas ma card/gcash na ko. I said I will wait for the terminal to go up, e sobrang tagal na and my relatives had somewhere else to go to, pati pala Gcash WALA! It's a good thing I had just enough cash with me and didn't have to ask my Mom to cover for me (how embarrassing) Sayang din yung cash back ko sa card. From now on I will go back to my routine of carrying cash na "back up"

I asked what will happen to those guests that don't carry cash? Sa asar ko I did not tip.

    personally,
i see to it that i have the cash to cover the event.
the CC is for emergency use only, including un-intended purchases.
i seldom buy on impulse, but when i do...!

I card na when I dine out because of cash back esp when I treat because I don't want my "guests" to see me counting cash or the waiter saying "I received XXX"

i go to the cashier's table, to count my cash and pay.
my guests, well, they should have the decency NOT to look as i count the money.
