Car reservation fee, not protected against price increase?

Reservation is for allotment of a unit only

purchase gets completed when payment is made or loan agreement is signed after a unit had been alloted to the buyer.

Only the payment in full should protect the consumer from price increase because most brand new cars are imported and subject to foreign currency adjustment

If your reservation is equal to a full payment then you have all the reason to complain for any price adjustment in the delivery of a unit

Wala na talaga pagasa sa old price since stop na daw delivery ng 'old' models. 2018 models na ang for release.

I paid for my Honda in full cash payment prior to the price increase, the unit wasn't available then. Then when the unit was ready, the sales agent asked me to pay additional to cover the price increase. I was annoyed but didn't feel like making a scene over 10K, besides I had availed of maximum discount as an Ayala rewards member.

It turns out the actual invoice is dated the day of the delivery, so if it falls on a price increase day, it will be the price increased price.

I guess it depends on the dealer. I have done the same with my previous car and truck purchases and I was guaranteed of the price negotiated even if there's an impending price increase.
