August 24th, 2017 07:36 PM #12yes same with mine. toyota din. ginagamit ng mga car dealers ang scare sa excise tax na parang you have to choose whether pumayag ka sa minimal price increase vs the expected excise tax increase

August 25th, 2017 09:20 AM #14Im an outlier here. I placed a 200k reservation for a car, sight unseen. The dealer has no idea about the price, availability, color options, equipment level or specification. I did this to be "first in line". Its the 2018 facelifted Mustang GT.
Am okay with this arrangement as the demand for these cars is crazy. And the supply will be tight when it launches.

August 25th, 2017 09:52 AM #16Yes, You can "sell" your slot. Lots of fools willing to be parted with their money. I.e. look at the crazy prices of LC200s in OLX. 1.5m more than dealer price. And those dubai versions just have extra trimming and reworked head units and headrests with screens.

August 25th, 2017 10:24 AM #17yup. thats why the 2% price increase doesnt seem that bad.. i mean what's one supposed to do, go to court and ask for specific performance? by the time you get a resolution, the excise tax would have kicked in and you stand to spend more to get the unit.. dont know how it goes if you go to the dti though.
