Problem is that they adopt only cute/desirable babies - which most of the time was taken through coercion/deception/force from parents.

Those babies that are needing REAL help (e.g. abandoned, sick, etc.) are left to fend for themselves.

True. There are also cases whereby the babies being setup for adoption are kidnapped from their parents. AFAIK, Jolie's adoption of her 1st Cambodian baby was done illegally that's why the baby carried a Cambodian passport and not a US one for a couple of years.

Oh, that picture. Well, normal practice yan sa ibang mga rural areas sa Cambodia - wala naman kasing crib dun. Ang ginagawa nila eh they put the baby inside a blanket (quite similar to what we see on the pic) and hang the blanket sa kisame tas tsaka iuugoy. It's no different from other 3rd world countries. Ganyann din sa ibang countries sa Africa.

Marami pa ring kakulangan sa social services sa Cambodia so this scene would be somehow..."normal". Para sa mga Westerners, abhoring yang ganyang conditions pero sa bansang kulang na kulang sa halos lahat, they need to make do with what they have. However, hindi ko jinu-justify yang ganyang treatment sa mga bata.
