    ::Special:: Round #13 by JethroTull

You may be asking yourself....... "The Gazette is here? But........ but....... but....... it's not Sunday!". Well, the original purpose of The Unofficial BordelloBattles Newsletter was to guide newbies along and announce, explain, release, and scoop the latest BB news, adjustments, enhancements, etc. With the launch of The Pimp Gazette, this was the case and also expanded to include the community, which was the focal point to the making of The Pimp Gazette; however, it has now gone to simply the community and nothing about BB Releases etc, partly becuase the game has been open for at least 60 hours before the release of any edition. So between rounds The Pimp Gazette will send out special editions to give the gazette readers the latest scoop on BB, guide you through the changes, and discuss where the game is headed. I present you the very first The Pimp Gazette :: Special Edition! So do you want to get the edge on the new round before anyone else and even get in-depth coverage and perhaps even info not released? The Special Edition has it all for you.

Do remember that The Pimp Gazette is the unofficial newsletter of BordelloBattles and all information stated here should NEVER be taken as official or as a guarantee of what will come. Information here may be speculated and/or may change and is not approved by Rez.

Round 12 was an exciting round all-in-all right? I think everyone was excited about the Juice Points system mainly because they simply make sense and finally brought pimpin' back to the game while still respecting attacking. The main dissatisfaction last round was actually three things, account resets, initial bugs, and opening with diseased whores.

Account resets last round really spoiled the round because those that got account resets knew exactly what to do and what not to do, they got a free pass to upgrade without having to worry about being attacked, they got to miss 1 or 2 fight days, and some even got gang transfers to upgrade up to hood 41. So no account resets at all, right? Well, that may not be a good policy to go about, but one thing's for sure, you won't get an account reset if you simply mess up, do something newbish, or get beaten down. Take it as a man (or a highly dominating woman) and finish the round out. Should you create a second account, that is a bannable offense and is considered multi-accounting and multi-accounts will be seriously cracked down this round. Multi-accounting is a bannable offense for one or more rounds to follow and it is just a game, play it like a game instead of stealing the monopoly money :P

Opening with diseased whores last round meant you might as well msg an admin to kill your account and wait till the next round. This round opening with diseased whores will still have a sting to it but has been reduced 75%. So now if you run 50 turns with 500 whores, 200 of which are diseased you will now lose 2.5k JP instead of 10k JP. So the key here is, constantly check your whores, and try not to open on fight day as much as possible because you might get caught on your way from main menu to open page and make sure you check your whores and condom count after Fight Friday.

Forums are changing a lot! Two forums are being deleted and forum rules and scope is being extended. A post was made earlier this morning about this at http://www.bordellobattles.com/forum...ic.php?t=3534. Same goes for chat.

As I said, the administration is cracking down on multi accounters. Frankly, the idiotic multi-accounters should just realize it is a game and it's pretty sad if you have to cheat to play and/or have any hopes of winning. When you login, you are extensively tracked. Not too much will be given away here but the login times, IPs, and host name when you login and they are logged in a searchable and efficient manner for admins. There will be restricted interaction between people from the same hosts and IPs. You will still be allowed to attack each other (however, note that the system does monitor retros and non hiring of thugs to catch multi accounters); however, you will not be able to see each other whores on the market. Like gangmates, you won't be able to buy each others' whores. It's pretty ridiculous that this had to be implemented IMO. You're supposed to be older than 18 and it is afterall just a damn game.

GANG WARS! Where were they last round? All I saw was exploitation and whimpy "tactics" all round long. Beating yourself into popo, not rehiring thugs, etc etc. Gangs couldn't even bring it to one another. Or, they tried to ruin each others' rounds by leveling. Ack, it's just a game! So what had to happen? The gang system had to change and indeed, it will. There will be no more beating each other into popo OR declaring on some gang after they warred cops so that they have no attacks left to hit at you with. Each member of every gang will be given 10 war attacks use. This means you may be looking at 35 attacks during a regular day, 60 on fight day. This will eliminate the "chicken ****" gangs from beating themselves into popo and attacking to win a free war, eliminates the cop war scenario, and also eliminates the need to MUST be online at reset. I think UK and our Aussie buddies will be very thankful of this. But hey? That solves the attack limitations problem, but what about the non rehiring of thugs? Will it still be by thug kills kills? Yes! It will still be by "thug kills"; however, instead of raw thug kills, it will be the percentage of thugs killed. If you attack some member who only has 62 thugs from not rehiring and you attack them and kill all 62, instead of hurting you, it helps you because you just killed 100% of the thugs they had at the beginning of the battle so 100 points are added to your gang war total. Looky! no more non rehiring of thugs. We all see where this is going.... SNIPER HEAVEN. I'm sure thicknsxy2, Vulture, and Sleekit will be thrilled by this (and C-Eye more so if he was still playing). If you were to attack the other gang and they had 0 thugs, guess what, (if rez made sure not to divide by 0) you've killed 100% (because the number of thugs killed matches the number of thugs they started with), so that's 100 points to the sniper! What a round to be a sniper.

There's one more issue to being in a gang war....... leveling. This also impacts the indies hence the new paragraph :-). If you're in a gang war, you could possibly lose 15 hood levels in one war. As alway,s attacking for whores and houses in wars cost 0 turns, however, leveling costs 15 turns. Even while not in war, leveling costs 15 turns. That's 30 minutes worth of turns. Leveling will be a GREAT tactic at that immediate time, however, it will hurt the attacker in the long run as I know for me last round losing 15 turns would be like suffering the JP loss in a police bust. (about 150 turns == 10 busts). So this will mean the gangs that level the other gang will find themselves hung at the end of the round as everyone will be stronger making their gang win and individual win vanish (especially since they will have 1% less JP than indies since gangs lose 1% of their JP earnings per turn). You're gonna really have to dislike someone to level them (though, I"m taking bets that it doesn't help Multiview any).

As for the initial bug, the selling option has of course been corrected and now if you drop a whore it will cost you JP equal to their looks. As an added note, if one of your skanky ladies get their asses hauled off to jail from not selling, you will suffer JP loss = skill level + looks. This will actually stop everyone from selling their shitty whores for max price just to get rid of them without paying for them to leave like you do when you drop them. And on the tune of JP and whores, you no longer lose JP for not finding whores in the clubs and the clubs will be freshly stocked with ripened (mmmmmmm) whores.

Some miscellaneous info, ranks page has finally been enhanced! When you open the ranks page it will initially show you a special summary page that will show you on one side the top 25 players and the top gangs on the right. Don't worry, searchable ranks are still around, you can click a link at the top to view full ranks which will be the normal rank viewing and searching & you can click full gang ranks which will now have a feature to where you click on the gang's name and it expands its member listing under it making the ranks page more user friendly and more efficient.

The hood report has finally been enlarged so you don't have wrapping on every line and your war tab cut off.

Remember going to the doctor's office and have 300 diseased whores but only money for say 250 so you had to sit there and click 250 links? Well, now check boxes will be added to the whores so that you can pick which ones you want to cure and possibly all at the same time.

Attack log has been fully expanded scope-wise and it will now save the data of each shot report and let's you view in your attack log. You will also be able to have it downloaded in the "Download Attack Log" option.

All bust data is now stored and flagged in the Biz History so that you know exactly when you busted (even though you could kind of tell) and you would know how much busted for and how much the whore buy back was. Again, this will be available in the download option as well.

You better hope that you kill all the police when you war them, oh god help you if you let those pigs kick your ass. Since they've battled you before and you didn't kill them they're skilled against you and your technique and consequently each time you lose, the next time you face them they will have 5% MORE JP than you.

This concludes the new features of this edition. I've seen nothing but improvements over last round being added. Let's not end this special first special edition on a fruit's opinion though :P
