Nagreresearch ako sa mga best city to live in the Metro and Marikina ang mukhang OK for me. Malinis, accessible and OK ang local government nila.

    Thanks in advance!

sakin parang ok na ok sa may rancho area... ganda and tahimik... not that far from city proper as well..

Lucia/Robinsons.

May house and lot for sale sa SSS Village Phase III. You can probably take a look at it from the outside. It's a nice house, elevated kesa sa road, 4bedrooms, 2 fullbaths, kasya 2 cars sa garahe. kilala ko mayari and i've been there many times, maluwag sa loob. wala ng nakatira ngayon. yung contact info eh nakapaskil ata sa fence. #5 Dawn St., SSS Village., malapit sa Panorama St.

Having lived in Marikina for more than 10 yrs, I would say that it has transformed to one of the best in MM. I suggest you visit the place and make you choice which of the subdivisions mentioned are suitable to your needs. There are also a lot of good schools, accessible to the malls, hospitals, markets. Highly recommended!

if ever you do get to find a nice place in marikina ask around first kung binabaha don. some areas of marikina are still prone to flooding, like some portions of sss village and yung subdivisions na medyo malapit sa marikina river. medyo mahigpit din sa marikina, taxes like say for real estate and businesses have to be paid on time or else, very immediate ang consequence. even for animals strict sila don. they not only pick up stray dogs and cats, nagbabahay-bahay na din sila ngayon at pag nakita na may aso ka sa bahay at d mo naparehistro mananagot ka talaga. pati sa hakutan ng basura. one time nagputol kami ng puno kasi sumasabit na sa mga electric wires. kelangan ischedule mo talaga yung pagpick up ng mga naputol na branches, at naka-segregate na din daw dapat ang dahon (naisako na daw dapat) at mga sanga.

basta if ever you do decide to choose a place in marikina try to stay away sa mga subdivisions na malapit sa mga slum areas don. lalo na sa tumana area, notorious yung place na yun. araw-araw may patay, sabi ng mga pulis sinusumpak daw. kahit sila d nila mapasok ilang areas sa loob, magulo talaga at may mga criminals na dun na din nagtatago. we live on a subdivision na malapit sa tumana, just 2 weeks ago tinira yung mga metro ng tubig, more than 50 households kami sa subdivision na nanakawan

FYI, may portion ng Rancho na Antipolo and may portion Marikina. Ok sa may New Marikina kasi malapit na siya malls like Blue Wave Marquinton, Sta. Lucia and Robinsons Metro East. If you want, tahimik. Sa may Marikina Heights. Madami available town houses dun and malapit pa sa schools like Marist & St. Scholastica.

kami naman, since 1981 pa nakatira sa Marikina. I remember di pa sementado ang bayan bayanan ave sa may concepcion. May mga squatter pa nakatira sa may ilog where the marikina riverpark is now situated. Maganda lang sa Marikina that time is Malanday dahil dun nakatira si Mayor Valentino. Parang Globe or SMART business center ang dating. Kailangan maayos itsura mo at naka shoes. Mga basketball courts covered na lahat at may electronic scoreboard pa. Yung sports center, puwede ka mag jogging, cycling, swimming, tennis, badminton. Galing nga e. Kaya di mo masisi na pag may kausap kayo Marikeno very proud sila sa city nila. Kala mo nga nagyayabang pero pag nagpunta ka talaga sa Marikina, you will realize totoo lahat ng sinasabi nila.

Lemon just avoid the marikina fault line...(that's the "ledge" ng Ateneo stretching the boundary lines ng marikina)....this might include Cinco Hermanos.

I was bred and born in Marikina, grew up there since 1967 pero I don't live there anymore...I have an almost thorough knowledge of the ins and outs of that area (siguro 80-90%) kasi I always bike around going to my classmates houses...

My best pick of place to look for is New Marikina Subdivision, then SSS village, then Concepcion area (back of the Concepcion palengke), last choice ko ang Rancho....I wonder if housing area yung sa dulo ng Marikina Engineering area (by-pass ito going Goodrich Village/SSS Phase 1/Strip 70), puro damuhan pa pero maganda ang roads.

Ang nearest to East Avenue kasi would be Concepcion area...you can pass by Tumana bridge labas UP Diliman or take the regular road - Barangka na labas Ateneo.

I almost forgot, yung bukana ng Parang going San Mateo is also a good place...malapit sa access road na lalabas sa Batasan/Congressional hiway (yung pa Fairview).
