im already enrolled mechanical engineering in xavier university ateneo de cagayan. but for some reason i think there are better engineering schools in the philippines (kasi im also considering studying in manila) not that XU is bad at engineering courses, i just don't want to have regrets after i graduated, kesyo i should have studied here instead of there, or what. and also i want to be trained by the best in this field.

sabi ng mga taga dito sa amin Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST) is the best here in CDO, but still i would like to venture to another and place and study somewhere else where i could be exposed to the world and learn to live by my own. sabi nila UP daw ang the best, some say La salle. what's your take? i would like to ask your opinion about this.

Mapua is also one of my options. i hear DLSU is on the edge because of their latest machinery and equipment? and also some companies hire DLSU-graduate engineers only for their familiarity of the latest equipment. how about UP? ano masabi nyo sa UP?

im thinking i would take the entrance exam ng UP here this year kasi inooffer naman ata dito.. and kung pumasa (or if i make up my mind kung saang school) dun na ako mag 2nd year..

    * TS; kung sa manila, Mapua, UP or DLSU na lang pagpilian mo. Tapos board exam na magkakaalaman yan.

kahit saang skul ka pa, basta board passer at may sipag, may mararating. ;)

Mapua is indeed the best prior to Yuchengco take over. Pero kung ngayon, wag na. I am one of the test rats ng lintek na quarter system ng Mapua. In 10 weeks, kelangan ma-master mo ang mga subjects. Wala ka rin summer vacation sa Mapua. Yun one week term break mo, eh time of enrollment naman.

If you want, 2 hours from CDO, andun ang MSU-IIT, or in 3 hours, punta ka sa Marawi and enroll sa MSU main.

I agree here.

for mechanical engineering, ayaw mo sa msu-iligan?. .

. .one time e me nangyari pa nga na 29 mapuans ang nasa top 20

I graduated from Mapua 1968. During our school days, kung mayron eng'g board exams (Civil Eng, Electrical Eng, EC Eng, Mech Eng, Sanitary Eng, Chemical Eng), ang pustahan among students ay kung sinong other school ang sisingit sa top 10. Usually 1 o 2 ang nakakasingit. Lahat mapua na. Top position dominated ng mapua. Ang mga professors namin noon ay mga well experienced engineer practitioners and managers lalo na nga klase na panggabi which was usually the schedule for 4th year and 5th year.
