what's really surprising here is that after browsing this "R-P-S" for several months, they actually have strategies employed and not just relying on luck alone.
they follow patterns and bluffs, so the whole thing is actually broken down.

I've read of this tournament a few years ago.
And yes - there's strategy involved in this kind of game even if the rules are simple - much like poker (which includes a lot of bluffing).
You also have to foresee the pattern being employed by your opponent after a few hands.
