    Ohh so that explains those incidents where the elevator would suddenly open to the "13th floor"!

    Well anyway, it's true, not all. The elevator in our office's building has a good reception, you can even make calls there.

    Metal boxes and thick concrete effectively shields radio signals from getting in or out.

    Elevators tend to be metal box constructs and tends to be located in the central core of most buildings. Mobiles phones don't have enough wattage in its radio emitter to punch through.

    In our office, I had a cellular repeater for SUN installed because that is what we use to contact all our staff in the field and ironically SUN signal is weak inside the office itself.

    Depende kasi sa frequency kaya wala pag sa elevator.
