I've eaten at countless restaurants in Vigan. Pareho lang sa lasa ng Vigan longanisa sa Manila.

May ibang mas malasa, mas garlicky, but then again meron ding mga resto sa Manila na masarap talaga yung Vigan longanisa.

Cafe Leona, Cafe Uno, Kusina Felicitas, Marsha's, the various hotels I've stayed in, etc etc.

Some of them sell frozen longanisa and bagnet. Around 130 per pack of longganisa and 200/half kilo of bagnet.

Actually, it's cheapest/freshest to buy longganisa/bagnet at the Vigan public market. There are also stores along Calle Crisologo that sell them plus other souvenirs.

Nakakasawa rin magdrive ng sobrang layo araw araw. Kada bato at lubak kabisado ko na.

There was a time in the early 90's when my job was a bit similar to yours. In that it involves driving around almost the whole of Luzon. I enjoyed the long trips even if I had to do it daily, maybe because at that time there was way less traffic and more wide open spaces where I got to enjoy the scenery. Nowadays, I might not enjoy it given the increased number of vehicles on the road and some of the provinces have become more urbanized. Losing it's rural appeal.

No point driving full speed at all times. Waste of gas, and tires, and it subjects the car to unnecessary stress.

It's like drugs. Driving at speeds that are "fast" for most people just feels ordinary for me, so I need to drive really really fast to get my kicks, and I only do that on the racetrack.

So nowadays I just try to amuse myself by trying to get the highest FC possible in provincial driving, while staying ahead of everyone else. It's possible to keep pace with overeager PPVs while keeping below 2000 rpm if you memorize the road. So far, 17.2 km/L in provincial driving is my personal best and it'd be hard to beat that unless I drive exclusively at night and don't make stops in towns.

I don't usually drive fast. I love taking in the scenery. But I get my kicks going up and down mountain roads, that's when I go full speed. Feeling rally driver kasi. Luckily I never ended up in the bottom of a ravine.[emoji1]

The scenery looks nice the first 20 times. Then it becomes part of routine.

The Narvacan-Santa coastline always gets me though. Also the road up to Baguio. But other provincial roads just all look alike.
