Had a little bit of buyers remorse after buying this huwaei mate 20 pro. But after fiddling with it for awhile it is so customizable and has a ton of settings that make the interface react exactly the way I want it to (for example you can rearrange the navigation buttons so that my muscle memory of the Samsung UI is satisfied).

I really don't want to leave. It's what my family wants. They think I'd have a better life in the US. I already told them that I am happy here but they are so desperate for me to leave that they would rather that I be jobless as long as I'm there.

I'm afraid that if I enumerate the reasons why it's better to live abroad, I might get some backlash here but I do understand where they are coming from. It's not just about better opportunities or higher income, it's about a whole lot of things.

My family told me that they would let me give up my status in the US IF that means working in HQ. E di lumabas din katotohanan na ayaw lang talaga nila ko dito sa Pilipinas.

BTT: I just read the write up of my VP for my performance evaluation and I cannot wipe the smile off of my face. Honestly, I don't feel like I deserve all of this. I did not even fulfill the projects that were assigned to me but my VP boss just made me promise to do it because he needs it to build a business case for my accelerated promotion. I'm so so thankful I have the best bosses talaga.They moved heaven and earth several times for me already I want the title so bad! My Dad and Lola would be so proud of me

Pwede mo namang pagpilitan na magstay dito. Malaki ka na you can decide for yourself. The fact na mas masaya ka dito is enough reason to stay. Sabi mo nga, di naman pera habol mo.

And you're getting promoted so sayang naman lahat ng pinagpaguran mo kung aalis ka rin.

Matanda na pamilya ko and I don't want to disappoint them. They spent time and money to work on my papers. Ibang klase mang guilt trip Mommy ko and if that does not work, I will get the passive aggressive treatment and that's like a living hell. I can't pack up and leave because I'm an only child. My situation is not that simple.

Hindi talaga pera ang motivation ko sa buhay that's the reason why I am very happy with my job even if the pay is not that big. I'm happy living simply with my salary as I value relationships, time and flexibility more than monetary compensation. My family even went as far as bribing me with cash, but they should have known that it will not work on me. haha.
