    My brother was also given his first car in HS by my Lolo. While I had to wait until college for my Dad to give me my first car. My brother is lucky that way because grandparents always have more money than parents

    i got lucky.
    i worked for everything, except the house.
    when my parents died, there was nobody left in the house but me.

    i know a clan in new manila where everyone's at home most of the time

    wala nagtatrabaho

    they just live off the money they get from selling properties na namana nila

    I like that. BUT when I was jobless for 5 years, there was a time I wanted to have a job because I was the family "runner" (taga sundo sa airport, punta sa bangko, bili sa mall etc etc)

    My 50 yr old friend is like that. He doesn't work also and they are selling off properties now. Their house is humongous and really nice but no maintenance at all. The pool even looks like a swamp, baka may buwaya na dun Their glory days were in the 80s and now it's over.
