I’ve used Airbnb both in Japan and London and I am quite happy with the accommodations, professionalism of the hosts and of course the price.

For a fraction of the cost of a hotel room, I am able to stay in a house or flat where I can cook my meals and soak up being a local.

I only stay in hotels if there are no good airbnb options in the area I am visiting.

My relatives from the US have just received a cancelled booking from Airbnb. I've warned them, but they didn't listen. Now, they are currently booking for a hotel room. The hassle is just not worth it.

    The stats:

In more than a decade of traveling, I never had a cancelled booking from a hotel. The airlines, yes, but, hotel no.

Hassle sobra lalo na pag peak season na cancel booking mo. Kaya ako pag traveling sa Japan. I always booked sa hostels or hotel para sure.

I would prefer to stay in a hotel with privacy, comfort and hygiene. You just don't know how they wash their towels and bed sheets. lol

As the saying goes, you get what you paid for.
You have not tried it but ganyan agad feelings mo. Why so negative in a happy thread.

Kami ng family ko twice na nag- air bnb. Makati and Baguio City. Sulit talaga.

Baka mahina ka lang maghanap ng matinong tutuluyan. Dami naman mga reviews and feedbacks na pwede basahin. You just have to be diligent in filtering.

It just feels nice (and weird) to have more free time now that I finished my college courses. Of course, it also means no more working from home.
