Finished the Cannonball 12-hour endurance run in 6 hours 29 min. 😄

Came in second (first place was veteran rally driver Boyet Policarpio) despite having a flat tire in Aritao at 5am. Not so bad for a first-timer.

Living the life! Congratulations! Wish I had resources (time and money) to go to events like these. What did you drive?

I was just invited to run so I didn't spend anything. But entrance fee is just 4k so it's not that expensive. You don't need a racecar either. Many participants brought their daily drivers.

I used a Peugeot 208 GTi. Bloody fast car. 👍

Though to be honest you don't really need a fast car since you're going through public roads. In fact, SUVs have an advantage (a Montero came in 3rd) because of the poor state of our roads. You just have to drive fast while being mindful for the safety of the other motorists around you.

    You should join next year!

Not bad then. I'll take the time to look for someone willing to lend me their suv or beater. I'm too cheap to even risk destroying my car's suspension haha!

    Way to go bro...

That was fast,- an average of over 75kph on Philippine roads... Whew!

When i plan for a long drive, i only use an average speed of 40kph.. . 😄
