3 or 4 months kasi ako walang statement na dumadating or parating late. Nag accumulate tuloy yung late charge and finance charge. Sabi ko hindi ko babayaran yan hanggang hindi nila i reverse lahat. Yesterday I got an email that they reversed all the charges.

Ang hindi ko alam bukod sa na block yung card ko, hinold din pala yung account ko sa bank! WTF

that is why I always go for paper-less bill statement (via email or check online) because I expect that they won't be able to deliver the statement to me before the due date.

HSBC. I did not have a job or proof of income when I was given the card. It was issued based only on my account with them. I think that served as their guarantee that I will be able to pay. I did not know that they can hold my account pala! WTF!

Nope! They can only hold it if it's up for garnishment but they have to go to court for that.

Paano kung mas malaki deposit ko sa utang ko sa CC? Susukilian nila ako?

Normally they can't hold deposits with the bank. The agent said that I can close this specific credit card and apply for a new credit card. I had no income kasi when I was issued the CC that's why they needed my deposit as guarantee. I did not know it meant they can hold my account if I don't pay my CC. I thought they just had to know that I had an x amount of deposit that can cover my CC limit.

Around 8 yrs ago AMEX (before it was bought by BDO) also called me for a CC but when I told them I have no job or any proof of income, they asked me to open an account with them. I declined because the maintaining balance was too high and the location of their bank is very inconvenient.
