Motorist drives through wet cement during heavy traffic, angers netizens

Some motorists just don’t have the patience to go through Manila’s traffic anymore.

Facebook user Edjun Magdayao Ramas shared a photo on Friday of a pickup truck that drove through wet cement just to get through traffic. While this may have made his trip a few minutes shorter, the driver’s move has also caused a stir with a number of annoyed netizens.

“This is a true Filipino. I salute you,” Ramas sarcastically wrote in Filipino about the driver of a black Mitsubishi Strada.

Ramas posted the photo of the pickup truck on Facebook. Screenshot via the Facebook account of Edjun Magdayao Ramas.

“The driver knew it was wet cement, but insisted to go through it just to get ahead of traffic. You have no discipline, you just wasted the effort, time, and money of the government for your selfish ways,” he wrote.

“This driver’s [way of driving] is embarrassing.”

The post has gotten 7,200 likes and 8,000 shares as of posting. Netizens have expressed their annoyance with the driver, echoing Ramas’ sentiments.

La San Sim wrote in Filipino: “This is too much. No discipline.”

Daina Falcatan shared that she has also experienced something similar to this. “It’s just so annoying with these people who don’t care,” Falcatan wrote.

Rishabella Brazil urged Ramas to report the incident and not simply post a photo: “Please take actions for this. He needs to get what he deserves.”

“Make him fix what he broke, so he’d be more conscious of what he’s doing. That’s going to cost money,” Gian Carlo Ta-a shared. “And let his license be revoked.”

Christine Gile added that all the time and effort that the construction workers did there went to waste. “How did that driver pass the professional driver test???? That driver is so stupid, hope karma gets him.”

The lesson to be learned here? Bad traffic is not enough to excuse bad behavior.

    Damn.
if they sent you the card without your asking for one, you can complain to them.
"i did not ask for that card. why did you send it to me? i never used it. and now, you are harassing me by billing me for something i did not ask from you nor benefited from?"

make him pay for the repair of his mis-deed, instead!
having his license revoked won't mean much to the rest of the taxpaying population.

"yun pala... carnapped yung sasakyan..." double whammy on the owner...
    heh heh.

Boss was pissed at me for not following up on the other teams job.
Presented the other team with the details few weeks in advance and they ignored it. Now that there is an outage, they are pointing fingers.

Sa loob loob ko lang, you are barking at the wrong tree as people on the other team are not doing their jobs they are set to do.

I learned this the hard way din. You can’t trust people to do their job on time. Kailangan talaga mag follow up and mag escalate if needed.

True. That is the reason why companies are starting to look at automation.

I was rolling down the windows to let the hot air out of my car when I heard a snap from the left rear glass. When I tried to roll it back up, no response. I have to guess the glass cracked where it joined with the power windows mechanism or it was the power mechanism itself.

I guess it was inevitable after the car had been subjected to six winters of subzero F weather plus the searing heat here at Arizona, not to mention the countless times my youngest kid pounded and kicked at the glass (that was her spot).

With thunderstorms approaching? Hail to the almighty duct tape and plastic trash bag!

Na holdap ako sa Festival Mall Alabang!

Paid 450 kesos for a movie na may free snack, I was expecting a drink and popcorn, and it was, so ok fine!

But the seats! ok na sana kahit hindi recliner at walang leg rest but the worst is no legroom! parang budget airline, wtf!

Why did filinvest invest in this type of cinema? Their old cinemas were better, bigger chairs and ample leg room

We just go to atc...select our seats then book and pay online via sureseats..legroom is no problem as long as aisle seat
