Are you able to get NSO certified birth certificate? I had the old school hand written birth cert with just the local govt seal but US embassy required the NSO certified (unfortunately was not forwarded or registered in NSO which was a government error) so my Mom had to fix that decades after I was born hehe

but i also have an original copy birth certificate issued by city hole, back then.

in today's life, they probably wouldn't honor my original birth certificate, as it had been superceded by technology and red tape.

yes doc, they don't honor the original na. I've used a photocopy of the original for so long until the NSO certified was required in the 2000s

The won't honor the originals unless it's recorded in the NSO, thanks to the ingenuity of our local forgers.
They even use tea (tsaa) to stain the pages to make it look ancient...

I don't think any government agency is still recognizing NSO birth certs, marriage certs, et al.

They all want the original or CTC from PSA.

Nakakainis ung mga government agencies na NSO copy ang kinukuha. Pwde naman tingnan nila ung NSO copy, then ask for a photocopy..dun niya sulatan na naibangga niya sa NSO copy. Wala talaga...

yes they don't honor the original. They require yung parang yellow color from NSO/PSA.

but while I am here I don't have my "supply". There are some chocolates that I absolutely can't run out of. Also, my cousin bought me boxes of big bars and I plan to share it with the staff at St Luke's. I promised them chocolates for Vday

one can get imported chocolates from shoomart, some well-stocked groceries (C&C), atbp.
one thing i have noticed thru the years: the locally-sourced ones are less distorted than those sourced thru other means.
but one has to remove the SM markings from the external surfaces, if one is to pass them off as pasalubongs.
