She got bitten by our own dog ( not the same pup) who got into a fight with a rabid dog who entered their house. I guess she was protecting my lola. We didn't realize our dog was infected until she acted strange and bit my lola. She was 80+ then and didnt want to see a doctor. Instead, she placed 2 black stones on the bit marks which amazing clinged on the wounds and fell off after a few hours. Batobalani I think what they called it. May magical power daw at hinihigop ang poison from any animal bites. Needless to say, she started showing all the symptoms of a full blown rabid infection in human starting with throat muscle spasm where she could not take in any food or liquid. Followed by tremors and slow paralysis. We brought here to the hospital but it was too late. She died after a week.

Btw, our dog died a few days after the encounter with the carrier. We had it examined and the result came back positive. Pinutol ung ulo ng aso at dinala sa ospital. By then, my lola started exhibiting the symptoms.

Sa case naman ng father in law ko, kinagat siya ng dog ng isang bahay sa Subdivision namin which also walang leash, he always walk pag morning kasi, anyway, the owner of the dog don't want to take the responsibility that his dog bit my father in law so para walang away, kami na kusa nagpagamot sa in law ko, after a few days, ganun pa rin, wala pa rin leash ang aso, and then 1 day, nakita ng dad in law ko ang aso, pagala-gala sa area namin, sinagasaan nya ng car namin yung dog but the dog didn't die, after a few days, di nya na nakikita yung aso sa labas ng kalsada hehehe.

    No sh$t????????

Dying of rabies is one of the most painful ways to go. Your brain literally develops holes. Thats an agonizing death that takes time.

Why did no one bring her to the hospital earlier? Sorry to open up old wounds.

the pathologist gets the brain, dissects it, and gets samples to examine under the microscope. they look for "negri bodies".
they don't want the whole dog, as getting rid of everything beneath the head, can be expensive and messy.
