I thought I could take on a newly established hive of Africanized bees that set up shop on the front porch yesterday. Nope. I tried to get em with a can of RAID. As soon as I got within a few yards of the hive entrance, they started swarming me. After tucking tail and running away, a couple of stings, and a bruised ego, I called the pros. He He.

Di kami umabot sa train namin [emoji24], need to transfer to another time and have to upgrade to 1st class kasi no seats available sa 2nd class and we have to wait for another 40 minutes for the next train.

No way. The exterminators arrived ready to play with full bee keeper ensemble. Those bees swarmed me when I was still a good 5 yards (~5 meters) away and they were just being defensive. A few even followed me into the garage which was where I got stung.
This time, the bees were going to be pissed off and I didn't want to be anywhere near them.
Anyway, the exterminators poisoned the whole compartment. They told me to give it a few days to make sure the bees vacate completely. Then, I need to stuff insulation into the cracks and seal them with rubber caulking.
I'm so stressed. Having upset stomach
If I want to go to FRA I pay. Wala na nga ko sweldo so where will I get money

Uhmmmm why will you be upset Cathy?
If you want something of course you will have to pay. I know you get sponsored a lot by your family but you cant win em all. If you cant afford it, and it isnt an essential or medical emergency, theres no reason to be upset. The trick is learning to enjoy what you haveBetter yet, plan for the future so you can enjoy the things you want.
Look, i know youre in the midst of major change in your life. Maybe its not the right time to splurge and this is life's way of telling you that when you arrive in the USA, you gotta hit the ground running.

EQ, you sound like my dad, boss and crush (and I mean it as a compliment) I always get that EXACT line from them! Is that alpha talk![]()
that is one reason why I am sad nga, I will be 40 in a few years (OMG! -shadow will be happy to hear that) and I have accomplished nothing. I am still very much dependent on my family (I swear pupulutin ako sa kangkungan without my family) My only responsibility is my second Mom and my fat lab (though my Mom said she is proud of me for taking care of my second mom so well)
Maybe nga I should cancel my Europe trip na langMy BFF will not be happy because we agreed on this last year pa, but so many unexpected things happened kasi
si catheye na sigruado pinakamadami post dito sa badtrip today.
Ang tagal na kaya ito thread puro lately lang ako nagcheck. Mahirap kasi pag puro nega nababasa.
Wag na kasi kumain ng taho. Ang estrogen umeepek. Hindi yan basta basta nafaflushout.
Taho makes me happy. Since last week naman, everyday yung sizzling tofu ng Max ang kinakain ko
She'll be in for a shock when she arrives. If she plans to stay, she'll learn to stick with the life essentials. My advice? Live like a guy. Most guys here buy things and keep them until they fall apart or don't work anymore. That applies to cars, clothes, gadgets, etc.
Once youre i the USA, get a good job. Europe will be easy peasy chicken feed for you once you are earning $

What's so shocking about the US? I may not travel multiple times a year like the rest of the world but I have been out of the country and I'm not as ignorant as you think I am. 90% of the people I know made it good in the US. Only you and another friend make it sound like life is so hard thereEveryone else have been very encouraging just like EQ. Also, people I know who are based in the US are happy and living comfortably. Even my German bosses are so supportive.
You are right, Europe will always be there. I'm just sad because my boss and other friends are expecting to see me this year. Sayang kasi my transfer to NY office didn't materialize (my boss did his best) so I have no salary na and I don't feel comfortable travelling without money coming in. Maybe next year na lang. Fingers crossed

Oooookay. I don't sugarcoat things. I tell it like it is.
The hard part isn't about making it good. A hard-working person can find success here. But, if you're used to Manila (or just about anywhere in the Philippines) where you can seemingly get out and go on a whim, you'll find it's different here. Most homes are far away from where you want to go. It almost always require a lengthy drive to get anywhere, including work. The residential areas are deathly quiet....and almost deserted. People here are also more isolated. There aren't many social gatherings here like the holidays (fiestas, Christmas, New Year's Eve) in the Philippines. If you're a natural lone wolf like me, you'll love it. But, I've seen new Pinoy arrivals who got bored/lonely/homesick because the lifestyle here is too quiet for them.
If you're fine with the above. Go for it. But, don't say I didn't warn you.
Oh. EQ is filthy rich. He can goof off all he wants and not worry about putting food on the table (sorry EQ). For us lower down, we still have to work hard for a living. That may seriously affect your lifestyle here.
