i know of someone who uses our copper-colored small coins with hole, as high-quality washers.
mas mura pa sa regular washers.

of course we all know, "that's defacement of legal tender" and is therefore illegal.

    "thirty push-ups!"

    then back to work.
asan ba yung kahon ko ng 5 cents... errr... washers?

no crime done doc. di naman defaced e. i used it as a washer for 3 mm blind rivets on a polycarbonate roof. the rivets fit in the holes nicely. pag may nakakita na taga bsp e di sabihin ko pampaswerte sa roof.

not a bad trip but a heartache.

my mom has alzheimer's. she has not recognized me for many years already. to her i am the "good cousin" who brings her groceries and meryenda. when i said good bye 2 sundays ago she hugged me and called me "anak". i was gladly surprised as she always says she does not remember me if i tell her that i am her bunso. i joked, "ma bye bye lang ito ha magkikita pa tayo pag uwi ko next month." she smiled sweetly. i knew right then i was no longer looking into her eyes but her soul. i was hesitant to go but i had to go back to work.

i am going home tomorrow. hopefully i will be in time to see her before my father escorts her pass st. peter's pearly gate. she is 89 going on 16. i can already see her and pa dancing in that plaza in the clouds.

The thought of losing someone is agonizing. And even past experiences wont really prepare us the for the pain when the time comes. The only way to go through it is be strong and just remember the happy times.

I never got a flat tire with my old 10-speed road bike. Now, with my MTB, I've gotten 2 flat tires (front and rear) in two weeks and on paved roads, no less. Damn mesquite trees that are used for shade. They have thorny twigs. I guess I have to buy some replacement inner tubes because I'm not sure how long the patched tubes will last. I used a cheap glueless repair kit on them. They seem to be holding up to the 60 PSI I normally use.

60psi...thats too high...if doing trails on a mtb the lower the better..20-22psi if dirt roads, fireroads and gravel, the lower psi the bigger the contact patch and traction youll have, just increase it to 30psi if youre gonna do some road work..go tubeless if youre having problems with flat tires...
