sorry i wasnt clear, dun ko inuutos sa cook.
our yaya (except for my youngest sister) was more of a tutor with minor yaya duties.
yung yaya ng ate was OK naman din, sya pa nga nagtatabi ng food for me pag wala yaya ko. she left when my ate was in HS (wala na sya maituro since college undergrad naman din sya).

Recently yung bum neighbor namin pinalayas yung mayordoma nila. The house is owned by bum neighbor's sister who is abroad most of the time. When the sister found out si bum neighbor ang napagalitan hahaha. According to hierarchy mas mataas si mayordoma sa kapatid

sya lang kasi college grad sa mga help sa bahay; at matalino naman talaga. pinagtitsismisan sya ng ibang katulong sa bahay, kesyo makalat daw, english pa ng english tsaka maarte daw masyado.

my lola had this nanny for years. she passed it on to my parents when they got married until we all 6 siblings were born, i'm the youngest. lumaki talaga kami lahat sa kanya, she treated us all good. yun tama lang na parang magulang din na balanced kung mag-alaga and she never crossed the line. and iirc that nanny left when i was 6 or 7 yata. i was told that family matters kung bakit umuwi na si nanny at hindi na bumalik.

Because they are part of the family already. I've seen it too many times when the help is favored over family.

Medyo iba pala situation ko. Since independent na kami ni wifey for quite some time na even before kami magkaroon ng kids. Mautos kasi si wifey since sanay na may yaya mula bata. Pero palakaibigan sa household help. Medyo suplado ako sa kanila. Dont want them to be lax and comfortable. Nagiging sakit ng ulo....
Si wifey naghihire, siya rin nagsasabi kung paaalisin para maayos usapan. Unless they piss me off. Tahimik lang ako lagi pero my house, my rules. I dont tolerate disobedience. Pwede pa katangahan basta hindi madalas. Ang katamaran eh ok lang basta tapos ang trabaho. I have my rules sa kids ko. Maids dont have any right to hit them. They should tell me if they have problems with my kids. Usually maids ang nagspoil sa mga bata. If i instruct them to do this. They should follow me at hindi mga bata. Disobedience means i will fire them...

Just to share my experience with househelps, when I relocated my family to Manila, looking for the right one has been a challenge. The one we had in Cebu for more than 5 years had to stay behind with her own family. With all the horror stories of maids with cohorts, my wife quit her job and decided to become a full time lover!

I don't subscribed talaga na house helps are part of the family. It's just absurd to think that way. It's a employer-employee relationship.

I treat them fairly and that's it. If they did something wrong I'll let it slide the first time but pag naulit, I cut the cord and let them go..

Bwsit yun parang amo pa may utang na loob sa katulong. If they're family Will they work for free? I do t think so...

We were scheduled to go to Laguna for some meetings this morning.

Noticed that as early as 630AM, traffic along SLEX south bound was already heavy starting from the approach to Sucat Interchange. ( I went to the office so I was at SLEX northbound)

And so, we used the Skyway going south; we went on ramp up at Resorts World around 7:30AM....

Wow! Traffic at Skyway tollbooth after Sucat...

The Skyway morons blocked the lane going to Zap-Alab Rd and they let the northbound vehicles use it. The northbound vehicles on the skyway from Alabang were few and far apart!!!
(I have to be at Zap-Alab to pick up a corporate guest in one of the hotels there...)

And so, everyone who used the Skyway this morning have to exit at SLEX south.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, was the cause of the heavy traffic along SLEX southbound! Deym!
