Super heavy traffic...
Typically it takes me between 45 minutes to an hour to get home from work..
Last night, one and a half hours...
Tonight over two hours...
Getting worse by the day...

Unless you don't pay on time and in full, using a credit card will not be costlier than paying in cash.
When I was in college and in the first few months of working, I transacted only with cash. But the hassle of withdrawing too frequently and the danger of carrying large amounts of money when making big purchases made me rethink. Also, a lot of purchases (apps, flights, foreign stuff) are exclusively via electronic payment.
At first, I tried surviving with a debit card only. However, some establishments don't accept debit cards, and there's the additional hassle of inputting your PIN all the time which takes a lot of time. The clincher though was that Uber only accepts credit cards, and I really wanted to try Uber back then. Hence, I finally gave in to the relentless calls of my bank offering me a card.
Now, I use my credit card as much as possible to avoid bringing lots of cash. I also check regularly my account via my bank's mobile app so I can easily pay my credit card balance as soon as the monthly statement is released.
Agree with this. Metro traffic is getting more awful as Christmas nears. Perhaps this is God's way of gifting us an opportunity to be patient.
My trip from Pampanga to Manila took half the time as my trip from Manila to Makati, despite the latter being only a fifth of the distance.
My newfound trick to endure traffic? Enya songs. Most calming sh!t ever. 👌
Immigration queue was horrendously long, no AC at arrival terminal and long queue for taxi as well. The icing on the cake though was the traffic outside the airport and to think its 12 AM.
I'd usually play my favorite banda songs (local or foreign) real loud and sing along with it, in heavy traffic....

Can't they at least assign a lane for them, especially in the two-lane/way national roads?
