I have not gone to work I'm very torn because I have a great boss and colleagues but it seems like it's not enough anymore to keep me enthusiastic at work I hate corporate politics.

Bad trip ako, may warthog at seahorse na management dito sa office that are giving me a hard time at work. Kung hindi lang talaga dahil sa German boss ko matagal na ko nag resign

Yes most of management treats its employees as mere numbers. I am only staying in the company where I am working for because my boss is a good man (has ownership and accountability and treats his staff as people). If only all of management were like him. Sadly, we're swimming in a sea full of sharks

I haven't gone to work na din, I lost my drive already, I just came in for a few hours today to talk to my boss. I told him that I want to resign but he said that he cannot afford to lose me. I owe a lot to my boss and so I promised to stay. I have to deal with corporate politics for at least another year...

Bakit kasi may mga tao who can let go of ethics and morals basta makaangat lang sa corporate. Di bale ng masira pagkatao nila basta ma promote lang sila

Actually, a sign of a good employee is one that has been brought along by the boss if he's pirated or transferred, or asked to come back.

ha ha ha. Not an option. He has too much to lose if he resigns (retirement benefits, securities, other benefits etc)

^ At least if you move, may savings ka rin kahit papaano. But then you only move if it is part of your career plan and not only just because of pay... Beware of the taxes though... everyone i know who had separation pay before they were tax free (50 y.o.) were screaming to the high heavens when they saw their tax deductions.

I've been stuck on the same salary since ceiling na ko for staff level. My German boss was expecting me to be promoted this year because of the projects and responsibilities he gave me, but then he does not have the monopoly of the decision. Corporate politics as usual! I am so sick and tired of it! I already made a promise to him that I will stay at least until the end of the year. Sacrifice ko na lang muna salary and career growth...

Taxes: Yan ang bad trip! My friend told me pati ADB staff sinilip na rin daw ang taxes. Ang tindi talaga ni Henares.

So basically your only increase comes from the yearly adjustments unless they kick you up to a supervisory or officer level? What happened to your application kina Boybi na?

I keep pondering about applying at ADB but i never got around to finishing their online application. Had a relative who was employed there before and the perks were really good especially as you go up to the upper echelons.

I've had practically no increase for 2013 and most probably for 2014. It'll be that way until I move to officer level Could it be more depressing? Gusto ko nga magbantay na lang ng food stall haha

My Mother really FRUSTRATES me!!! I feel like I am raising a child that is very very hard headed! It's like she feels no consequences about eating unhealthy foods that her Doctors clearly told her not to eat! Carbs! Salty foods! Fck I feel like crying!

I decided to make some popcorn for myself swimming in butter. I did not finish mine and threw it away. I was looking for the rest of the bag that I left in the kitchen to throw away and I found out that my Mom got it! I went to her room and told her why is she eating popcorn. She will drink lots of water na lang daw. W T F kind of reasoning is that?!?!? Then when she gets her check up she will wonder why her numbers are bad! WOW!!! It's like I cannot eat normal anymore because she does not have enough discipline not to have what I am eating. Then she gets mad at me for "controlling" her food and comparing her to my Auntie who at 60+ has a great and healthy body. That's because Auntie follows her doctor's orders on what to eat!
