You can still try and make a claim on that AFAIK. Notably if there had been recent repairs and more probably if the part that broke is one that was repaired prior. In the case of our 2006 Camry 3.5, the rotors warped and were replaced prior to the car warranty expiring. It warped again less than a year later (Car out of warranty already by that time) but Toyota still reconsidered as the part was just replaced a few service stops prior.

Lemon nga yan if you ask me. Our 2007 Altis already has 90,000kms on the odo and the only thing it has gotten was a Mang Mario cleaning back in 2011.

Bad trip. Nag flake out just now yung mga kasama ko dapat for inasal grub tonight (was gonna try that place LSB recommended to me)... mukhang solo flight tuloy (wifey is working late tonight and i have to wait it out).

To make you feel better, our family's 2010 FD leaked whenever it rained, less than a year after we bought it brand new. It took 3 or 4 visits to the CASA for that to be fixed. When i had a 2001 Civic ES, it had a defect subject to recall which could have caused a serious accident given i drive on the highway often (TDC Sensor). I was only informed of the recall when i complained of the problem (Even if the car has been going to the CASA before that happened). All in all, Im still more convinced on a Toyota product.

Thanks. Naiyak na talaga ako sa frustration sa Altis ko At least the FD is not that much of a "better" car than the Altis naman pala. Geez kaya nga nag brand new para walang sakit ng ulo, pareho lang pala aabutin ko sa Altis ko Big body ko 11 yrs old na nung binigyan ako ng maraming sakit ng ulo. I know kasi that is the reason why I joined Tsikot.

I think you're still better off with the Altis. Our FD have had recent trips to CASA during the past year (it has 85T on its clock right now) from engine support defect, to the handbrake defect and then the AC recently wasn't doing well -- but it was fixed already.

Some of my friends' units have similar problems as well, some even had an issue with its power steering and underchassis.

Just have your AC fixed and don't worry about anything already.

Thanks Vinj and renzo. It makes me feel a little better already. I always thought that the FD had no issues and more matibay. Everytime nasisira Altis ko I relive the regret of giving in to the Altis. I like it naman. The recurring AC problems gets me so frustrated lang.

Since it's out of warranty already, why not bring it to more reputable 3rd party shops? Such as FrigidZone, Mang Mario's.. etc.

hindi na kami umabot sa old plates para makuha yun ending na gusto namin.

sa new plate na daw kami, ang masama di daw pwede mag request na ng ending. kung ano nalang daw maibigay ng lto.

kung gusto ng sariling ending, mag special plates na daw for 33K!

ganun ba kamahal ang special plates? hirap naman kasi kung swertehan nalang ang ending, paano kung kaparehas ng existing car

Yes it's manual. Sa casa kasi iwan ko lang sila na bahala pero baka mahal naman sobra pag AC ang sira.

C4U, hinde mahirap na problem ang A/C there's just a couple of parts na pa palitan Kung sira na talaga and it will be good as brand new.

Climate control or manual ang A/C Pareho lang nasisirang parts
