Another solid encounter with an officer of the law just now.
His civilian vehicle blocking my paid parking slot. Attendant offered to move his car for him, but he snapped back, saying 'MAG-ANTAY KA' then continued conversing with another person, leaving the attendant humiliatingly standing there for a few minutes.
After a moment, gave him a horn tap. He douchily shouted back 'SANDALI LANG'.
He moved his vehicle out of the way then after having us wait a bit more, then left the parking area counterflowing on the single lane, one-way street.
At first, I thought he was a fireman, what with flames and warning decals all over his old-gen Patrol.
Realized he was pooolice when I saw his single PNP commemorative plate up front and confirmed later by the attendant.
Either that or he was a fire marshal.
Still, such behavior is typical of local authorities, no matter how low or high up the chain. Tsk... quite sad.
