actually di naman MM target nito, madadaanan lang. central luzon will probably bear the brunt of its ferocity. kaya lang sa MM konting ulan lang baha na, what more kung may bagyo pa.
just in case though, it's prudent to stay clear of flood prone areas..

TYPHOON "Yoyong" (international code name: Nanmadol) continued to move
closer to slamming the eastern coast of Luzon Thursday, with several areas
placed in the highest storm alert, the latest tropical cyclone update from
the Philippine weather bureau said.
As of 5:00 a.m. Thursday, the typhoon was spotted 180 kms east of Virac,
Catanduanes with strongest sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour near
the center and gustiness of up to 220 kph, the Philippine Atmospheric,
Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its
4:30 a.m. bulletin.
Moving west northwest at 35 kph, Yoyong is expected to make its landfall
over Aurora province Thursday night, PAGASA added. The storm would then
cross the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya, Pangasinan, Benguet and La Union.
Typhoon Signal No. 4 has been raised over Catanduanes, northern Quezon,
Polillo Island, Aurora, Quirino, and Isabela. These areas will experience
winds of more than 186 kph.
Residents in these areas to seek higher ground to avoid big waves.
Residents in low-lying areas have also been alerted against possible flash
floods and landslides.
Storm Signal No. 3 has been raised in the provinces of Camarines Norte,
Camarines Sur, the rest of Quezon, Rizal, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Nueva
Vizcaya, Ifugao, Benguet, Mt. Province, Kalinga, and Cagayan. These areas
will experience 100-185 kph winds.
Storm Signal No. 2 has been hoisted over Sorsogon, Albay, Burias Island,
Marinduque, Batangas, Laguna, Cavite, Bataan, Pampanga, Zambales, Tarlac,
Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos provinces, Abra, Apayao, and Metro Manila.
Sixty to 100 kph winds are expected in these areas.
Masbate, Romblon, Mindoro, Lubang Island and Batanes are all under Storm
Signal No. 1 wherein winds would not exceed 60 kph.
Footage aired on GMA Network's "Unang Hirit" newscast showed strong rains
and winds were starting to be felt in Naga City.
A report on the same newscast, quoting the Department of Education (DepEd)
and the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd), said classes in all levels
have been suspended in Central Luzon, Southern Luzon and Metro Manila.
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) also suspended the Unified
Vehicle Volume Reduction Program or the "number coding" scheme in Metro
Manila except in Makati City and the municipality of San Juan.
Another "Unang Hirit" report said Philippine Airlines and Asian Spirit
have canceled domestic flights in the areas that would be affected by
Yoyong.
The Philippine Air Force also announced the suspension of all its rescue
operations in areas hit by Typhoons "Unding" and "Violeta" and tropical
depression "Winnie".
These areas are expected to bear the brunt of Yoyong's fury when the
typhoon makes its landfall Thursday evening.
Winnie has so far claimed 407 lives due to landslides and floods,
according to an official report of the National Disaster Coordinating
Council (NDCC).
