I was so upset when I found this picture in the internet.

kindly look at the plate number of REVO.

Is this all we got? Napakatatalino ng mga commander in chief nito, magkanu ba pinapasahod ng taong bayan sa mga leaders nito? Sad to say pinagtatawanan tayo ng ibang bansa. I read some of the comments and its very disappointing. Some of them says
"I hope this is just practice", "Or we can take over that country in no time","Yeah! Maybe they have oil!"

By the way heres the link

I hope these guys are wearing protective vests. I'm assuming the suspects have assault rifles in which case, that vehicle will offer no protection at all. The bullets will go right through.

Sigh, now you guys know kung baket frustrated ako sa Phil Military.

    Kalokohan yan!!!!

Magaling sila pag simulation at theories lang pero pagdating sa live combat I can already count kung sino at ilan sila ang kaya ko pitasin. LAHAT!:nolurk:

Halatang ngayon lang sila naka experience ng live combat. Subukan nga nila sumali samen sa Foreign Legion boot camp at kung di sila makatikim sa amin ng live round exercises. Baka mapatay pa sila dun.

What's the correct military tactic for this situation? I'm not an expert so please enlighten me.

The first thing I'd do is cordon off the street to the left and spread the troops out along the island (and any parked cars) which can be used for cover and concealment as well as spreading the (bad guys') field of fire.

Anything but what's on the photo. If I had an M-16 with NATO 5.56mm GP rounds, I'd say my bullets can pass through the vehicle and take out the closest 2-3 ranks except those by the engine block.

Military tactic of the day was "all eggs in one basket". The enemy wouldn't know what hit them.

I doubt that majority of these guys haven't been to actual combat in mindanao, it's just that maybe that was their first time with an urban warfare scenario. You could look it up in timawa.net, they have a very deep discussion of what happened there, I think the ground commander even had a few words. But still, man, looking at the picture alone, it really looks like a major fail.

Malabong malabo na wala silang experience sa live urban combat/training:

    1) they always display an urban combat scenario sa mga events like yung mga events sa Luneta.

    2) sa kadami-daming mga welga/protests and "People Power"(trilogy na nga ata eh??) na nangyari which all took place sa urban areas you'd think they'd learn to start their training.

    3) majority of battles in Mindanao happens in urban places. I know I was there telling them to keep their mouth shut when we were encountering enemy fire. What a way to give up your position. You'll just hear them shouting "Ayun! Nasa kaliwa! DAPA DAPA DAPA!!!" or "Ratratan na naten! Tumba yung kasama naten!" Shesh, you'd think that the guerillas were hearing impared!

    Wanna see my squad??
