I guess the person gets used to it. Although I read somewhere that a person could only take in liquid after getting a tongue stud coz the tongue swells up after piercing.

Sometimes it also depends also on the earrings that are worn (makes it look cheap or nice). Pag formal or professional affairs talaga kailangan one pair lang.

OT: before may earring din ako. Kahit naka barong ako at may client meeting, may earring parin ako. But decided to remove it for the more formal and respectable look.
