so wealth is squandered, back to zero, isip uli ng bagong racket

well, at least na-experience niya ang good life

accurate ba description ko?

dami pinoy ganyan

mahirap, guminhawa, waldas, naghirap uli, kayod, guminhawa uli, waldas uli

the Chinese have a different view

the Chinese are after SUSTAINABILITY

they may have tons of money but they don't go spending like crazy

they think years, decades into the future

they choose a lifestyle that they can sustain for generations

kaya pansin mo Chinese-owned businesses last a long time

there are Chinese-owned businesses that have been around for generations

business ng lolo, napunta sa tatay, napunta sa apo

sustainability dude

the Chinese try to avoid rollercoaster finances (rising and falling fortunes)

their lives are steady

hindi yung hirap ginhawa hirap ginhawa

that's what you're not doing OB

sa mga posts mo, it's obvious you have rollercoaster finances

your businesses don't last

your businesses are hit and run business

but hey, that's your style
pakiramdam ko magkaka-cancer ako kakaiisip kung pano papano i-increase, magtatago ng pera. parang everything revolves around money. compute-compute from a measily trip to the grocery store, magkano inubos ng fuel consumption, ano ang may mga promo, mas mura ba pag volume etc. etc.

you're right ayaw ko talaga yan sustainability long term na yan.

it's just not healthy

and regarding me thinking about grand-grand-grandchildren's future is so mind-boggling. they should have a life of their own, to decide, to fall and to rise up when needed. it maybe noble for me to think of their future but there are so many things in life that cant just be controlled by money.

enforcing one's belief on someone lalo na sa next generation can be futile. if you earn a billion on your lifetime, it will only take one disgruntled grandchild to waste it all away. and even i'm lucky enough not to have one, the kind of life that i provide with my golden-spoon fed grandchildren can easily be taken away by some street-smart person their age who lives a rollercoaster life and have nothing to lose.

kung tuusin this is the reason why the Philippines has a big problem in distribution of wealth. resources are being reserved for the unborn while there are lot who are living now who have less or nothing at all.

people with so much money think so much far ahead to protect their own not thinking that what they do now can very much affect what they envision for their future. we are all connected whether we like it or not.

kitang-kita na nga eh, smart/intelligent kids work/open private corporations/hit businesses in the future, the carefree/average kids go to govt. agencies/institutions/life of crime/left-leaning groups. and so what's the end result? eh di ba Pilipinas. whether we like it or not, we will still have to deal with each other.

*uls, everytime i go to national bookstore, lagi ko tintignan yun book na A Purpose-Driven Life. i haven't read it yetbut i think i have an idea of what it is by just reading the title. when it says life, it's singular. meaning one's life. but of course, one's life should affect another life in order to yun na nga have a purpose. but affecting another life is tad different from taking charge of another life ... and i guess this is where the danger lies. hindi lang naman limited ito sa mga Fil-chinese way of life, but also our politicians, our idealistic countrymen, etc. some of us think that we are the center of the universe and therefore, dyan nagkaka-daleche-leche ang buhay natin laht.
