basta what I'm sure of eh financially independent na ako sa parents ko, hinde na nakadikit yun umbilical cord ko...hehehe

marami mayaman lalo na mga nakikita ko sa mga gimmick, yes mayayaman talaga pero bigay pa rin allowance from parents, driving a luxury vehicle pero kay Daddy. gold/platinum ang card pero extension. tapos 20+ yrs old graduate na pero nakatira pa rin sa parents. walang sense of responsibility, hataw ng hataw pero hihingi pa ng pang gasolina. tambay sa Banawe papagabit ng accessories sa kotse pero hinigi lang pera, in short they still amount to nothing.

*Boybi, mas masarap sa probinsya talaga if you ask me. Kaya ako, i enjoy going home to Pampanga (my wife's hometown) or to Bacolod (my family's roots); simple lang ang kasiyahan and malayo aabutin ng budget mo.

strictly speaking na "tinutulungan" financially, no I don't! since they can afford it. siyempre kung kailangan I'll do it in a heartbeat.

I give them gifts on special occasions, kung mag abroad sila I give pocket money or pay for whatever but everything is well covered for. pag may nakikita ako na I think they need or want it, then binibili ko...if they ask for something then i'll buy it...but yun monthly fix amount na binibigay, wala...I offered but they refused.

pag meron ako binabayaran, binabalik rin sa akin eh ng mom ko. if I refuse magaaway lang kami...

LOL... Imbis na magalit, it should be challenge really. I used to get "the good things" once in a while from my dad but after he passed away suddenly we were basically on our own (my siblings and i have no material inheritance due to problems with my mom, nakuha lang namin from my dad was just our education and attitude towards things). There is more sense of achievement in the things you earn through honest-to-goodness hard work.

As for the rich who borrow. There are those who do it for the proper reasons and for the continued growth and liquidity management of their businesses (maganda ang pagka-leverage); that's fine. There are those though, who borrow just to sustain things (dahil sobrang kapos ang cash flow sa mismatch ng funds and collections or sobrang aggressive sa pag-expand, or their lifestyle is eating into their business money, etc.).

If you were born rich, then good for you; its good if your family teaches you well to sustain it for the next generation. Thats the sad thing i see with some families, the kids become too spoiled and pampered so when the business is turned over to them, a lot is lost for the next generation.
