Kind of interesting to read that article. With all the economic figures like increasing inflation rates and possible further devaluation of Philippine currency, pointing out to a much harder and difficult times ahead. But I would like to read that article and see how the analysis was made.

All I know is that manufacturers make cars that are affordable/cheaper but they never make current prices cheaper. There's a difference in there. I'll set an example to make this point clearer. Example is Toyota's scheme on marketing. As you can see, Corolla never made cheaper ever, but toyota made affordable/cheaper cars like Vios and avanza.(Oo nga pala, subjective nga pala when I said "Cheap". Just trying to set an example to get my point across).

    Ciao!

Kung bababa ang dollar exchange rate at ang cost of electricity, pwedeng bumaba din yung prices.. (both scenarios unlikely)...

Thats a good news but I doubt, the dollar exchange rate is so high and go higher everyday.

But who knows... let's wait and see.

I think they did drop the price now. I was eyeing on the lancer GLS and it was selling at 720K, now they're selling it at 690K. As for the other models, they also took off 30k.

with everything going up, i very much doubt it. what they'll probably do is offer a lower priced model.

Saka lagi namang may incentive ang Mitsu compared to all other top manufacturers like Honda and Toyota.

From time to time, $3,000-$5,000 off and prices ng Mitsu sa US. Nalugi din sila dahil sila ang takbuhan ng buyers with bad credit. Then after a year, the buyer fails to finance the car. Kaya maraming used Mitsu sa lot.

    Hopefully...
Para makabili naman ng brand new at latest models available ngayon.

Come to think of it, kung mahina and demand at maraming supply, better for them to give discounts rather than no sales at all.

    Just wait and see.

    Hey Superdude,

I beg to disagree to your conclusion that USA's economy is down and certainly not because of IRAQ War. As a matter of fact, USA has maintained economic growth as projected. If you look closely and analyze it, you will see how advantageous it is to the US economy when lowering the value of the dollar.

As you can see the value of the dollar is determined by confidence. THe reason for the dollar decline is mainly because of the trade deficit between the US and the rest of the world of about $600Billion. Meaning, the US has been buying more stuff from the rest of the world while the world hasn't been able to buy US-made products due to high dollar value.

The devalued dollar post its advantage to American Companies since this favors EXPORTING of American GOODS since dollar would be cheaper like in Europe for example. While european in return will have difficulty exporting their products since EURO is expensive.
