sa aking nalalaman, ang civil nga ang ipinapa-annul.. wala ka naman naririnig na nagpapa-annul sa church diba?..and thats why sa court ka nagpapa-annul kasi you want the wedding contract to be deemed null and void.

a church wedding is a combination of a religious (sacrament of matrimony)and a legal (where you sign the wedding contract with the sponsors as witnesses) joining of the husband and wife. Now, kaya nga may wedding banns published sa parish ng couple so that the public may know kung sinong ikakasal at kung may problem man (ie kasal sa iba) eh pwedeng ipatigil ang kasal.

    imho.

if you are married sa church, there are two things that you should annul. yung civil and yung church. the reason for this is that the couple is married and is recognized by the society (civil) and by the church .

so if you are married sa church and your marriage is annulled civilly, you may again get married, pero civil lang.

i have an officemate here, who has completed the civil annulment procedures. ngayon, ang nilalakad nila is yung church.

How long did your friend's annulment process take?

I also have a friend who had completed both church and civil annulment. It took about 2.5 years to complete the process.
