Hindi na yata uso yung mag-cast ng unknowns sa lead roles (remember Robin Padilla's early TV role as Super Pinoy, in the defunct ABS-CBN series Pinoy Fantasy?).
Panday's first episode wasn't half bad. May potential naman. Although personally, nakukulangan talaga ako kay Victor Neri as Lizardo. He doesn't have the same villainous intensity as Max Alvarado's original portrayal. I would have suggested either Dindo Arroyo or Archie Adamos, both very effective character actors, for the role instead.
Huwag naman pong ikumpara ang Panday sa Krystala. Medyo malayo ang comparison, eh. :D
