I passed thru the skyway just this morning and saw this accident; the driver lost control when the brakes failed, 2 were killed.... The ambulance was a Subic Mitsubishi Delica 4WD (probably converted)...

December 28th, 2010 05:50 PM #6If his brakes failed .. he would've "engine-braked" the thing down to a safe and sane velocity for him to apply the emergency handbrake. The toll plaza can be seen several kilometers away, even if its an ambulance, drivers must still exercise caution, and brake early. Not leave it to "bahala na!"
I think he was just plain reckless.
