kahit ano siguro. basta may agree-able ankle support for yatta.

    personally, hanggang mid-cut lang ako.
i don't feel comfortable with hi-cuts in the civilized workplace.

bro yatta, you can try checking out oakleys too. they have those tactical boots w/c look sturdy enough. i think the us army uses them too

i just don't know if they'll fit the bill you are looking for and if they're value for money

tsaka pwedeng pwede na iyan panlaban sa invasion ng mga limatik.

    lucky generation.
back in the day, all we had for ankle support was canvas converse hi cuts and elastic bandage.

Yun na nga lang options ko. Looking at tactical boots or go back to oldskool jungle boots from Gibson. Was gonna spring for surplus Kubar but my friend at the PA said they are crap for field use.

Di gusseted ang tongue ng Timberlands so waterproofing/debris proofing is compromised.

I actually use these boots for their intended use.

if my memory serves me right, you and a family member of mine have the same profession (used to anyway) so i'm a bit familiar of how demanding your shoe needs are. his stories about his exploration days back in the day were quite riveting that's why i guess i saw the appeal in trekking.

i still remember my first ever climb w/ him back in the 90's in the mountains of berong, palawan. that's the first time i had some wild bananas w/ big a$$ seeds. i never had nor seen any of those jungle bananas ever again.

I need a waterproof or water repellent one. Budget is P3,000 to P5,000.
    Thank you for the suggestions!
I bought the low-cut Merrell MOAB FST 2 which is on-sale for P3,100.
    I like the tito vibes.

    i got a non-waterproof rockport last week.
but it looked too good to wear in the rain.
so i went back to the bata store, and got the poor waterproof shoes we talked bout earlier, out of their hands.

The Ultra Boost 2019 actually feels better than the older Ultras. I thought I was falling into some form of recency bias but I wore all my UB's back to back and you could really feel it.

The sole has better bounce to it. I hesitate to use the word firm as it does feel like there's more support but it doesn't feel harder than the older UB's.

I suggest you wear your UB's to an Adidas shop, try the Ultra '19s, and see for yourself.

my first running shoes was saucony. that was way back in the late 70s. not many choices, back then.
the retro-look they are selling today? they're not like the first ones we had, which were, in my opinion, "much better".

    It depends for which purpose.

    Golf - Adidas or Footjoy
    Basketball - Under Armour
    Walking - Ecco
    Running - Kipsta

Nasanay na mga paa ko sa Adidas Ultraboosts. If I expect a whole day of walking, or when going out of the country, I need to wear UBs.
For other times, I still have some Onitsukas and Nikes.

Depende din sa activity at lakad..
For sneakers I got VANS, Converse, Adidas, Nike and Puma.

For long walks, I got this black Nike shoes na kapag suot ko parang wala akong shoes..

    For jogging, Reebok..
