I checked out the video on that site, but there was nothing there that showed anything we have not seen before in exorcism cases even here in the Philippines.
Unless I see a possessed person do a "Linda Blair 360-degrees head-turning" stunt, I'm not going to believe these exorcism stuffs.
The only person, I believe, who is really possessed by the devil is DAVID BLAINE!
hehehehe.... All David blaine tricks... and I mean ALL are common Magic tricks that most if not all Magicians know. a lot of the tricks are really basic and a lot more can be bought at magic stores... like the coin bite, cigarette through coins etc. just like in stage magic, he too uses accomplices and gaffs
What's brilliant is his invention of "street magic".
btw, I can do the "fruitloops" card trick pretty well by now. Also known as the ambitious card![]()
C'mon man, I'm just advertising my favorite AXN show. Don't kill the fun from the kids.Originally Posted by bad driver

I've been practicing card and coin tricks for quite a while and regardless of how well you know the trick, David's presentation is just an art.
Back to the subject...
Mga kinukulam dito konting hampas lang ng albularyo ok na hehe, mga pari sa Vatican pa lessons lessons pa. :P
afaik - sa Catholics may exorcism rites pa yata yan.
some Christian groups though believe that all forms of misery (including sickness, poverty, etc) is actually a bondage with evil spirits (not just the Exorcist type).

Hubbard is a damn traitor to the Science-Fiction and Speculative-Fiction community, and many of his previous comrades have disowned him for this. The "Church" is well-known for strong-arm tactics and brainwashing (which has, unfortunately, led to quite a few suicides). Many of Hubbard's accomplices have been pursued by the police for tax-fraud and evasion, although it is not known if Hubbard himself profited from this "Church". A sad end to the career of a brilliant writer.
That said, I've personally witnessed a lot of "exorcisms" and "religious trances", "speaking in tounges", etc... I'm not a personal believer (too scientifically-minded for it), as I've done some time at psychiatric wards working with patients, and the symptoms of mass hysteria, schizophrenia and such are plainly visible to the skeptic in me.
But sanity is defined by the society in which one moves. In certain religious circles, such things are defined as "normal" behavior. And to a point, it is... normal for that social-religious group... It's just sad when such behaviour starts to affect their ability to function in the outside world. Have seen quite a few people go off the deep end because of this.
