Accident this morning

What happened is that my left wheel flew off. Its my fault I did not check my wheels this morning kasi nagmamadali ako to go to the office dahil coding ako. Pero I'm wondering kung bakit maluwag yung mga locks eh kaka-check ko lang at kakahigpit ko lang sa kanila nung sunday. My family used it to go shopping and to go to church nung sunday din. I was also able to go to the office yesterday without any problems.

I just noticed early this morning na may "clack" sound sa front at lumakas ito nung nasa Express Way na ako. I stopped at first to check lahat pero wala akong makita kung saan galing yung "clack" sound. So I decided to go on pero sa shoulder na ako at naka-blinkers na. My goal is to reach the toll gate and to further check kung ano yung sound na yun. I was speeding around 20kph when suddenly my wheel flew off . I hit the brakes then sumayad na ako sa guard rails. I was shocked kasi I did not expect na mangyayari yun. Buti na lang walang tinamaan yung gulong ko na ibang sasakyan.

Well wasak ang front left side ng kotse ko (due to the wheel na natanggal) at gasgas yung front right side ko (sayad sa guard rails). Went to the shop and it will cost me 6500 php to fix/paint them all (plus isinama ko na yung mga pwedeng isama na repairs).

Sabi ng PEATC Patrol bakit lumuwag yung mga locks. Nagtataka rin ako kung bakit. Then sabi nung Patrolman baka may gustong magnakaw ng gulong pero di nya naituloy or baka may galit daw sa akin kaya niluwagan sadya yung mga locks. It is a possibility na may gustong magnakaw kasi yung jeep ko nanakawan na ng gulong dati. Kagalit wala naman. Pero possible talaga na may nagpaluwag kasi wala akong garahe at naka-park lang ako sa street in front of our house.

Anyway I'm glad bulsa ko lang ang nasaktan. I paid 1700 (plus 200 sa mabait na nag-assist ikabit yung gulong ko ulit) for the towing service. I'm thankful to God walang nadamay na iba at di ko kasama ang family ko sa pangyayaring ito. I'm glad din na everytime may naririnig akong unusual or may naramdamang unusual sa car ko I always slow down at pumupunta sa shoulder. Mali ko lang kanina dapat di na lang ako tumuloy nung tumigil ako tsk tsk tsk

Lessons learned: Check everything before using the car. Buy an alarm to deter anyone who has bad intentions with the car.

nagtxt si ungas re. your accident, buti nalang no serious damage or injury.

nangyari din sakin yan napansin ko grabe wobble ng front left wheel ko natanggal na pala 2 wheels nuts, buti nalang naagapan ko pa at natigil ang kotse.

Jim, thanks for sharing your lesson and was happy to hear that you are safe and sound. This reminds me the of the movie Changing Lanes starred Ben Afflex.A thought-provoking, sophisticated drama that explores the motivations behind our split second decision-making and the consequences that result.
You are right to be grateful that it was not a serious kind of accident considering that you loose control of your car.

It's good nothing happened to you, muntik nang nangyari dati sa akin iyan, nabali ang 2 wheel nuts ko't buti na lang malapit ako sa isang car repair shop.
