Hoooo, boy. 5140 kunin mo! Da best! (labo ba?)

Ask yourself kung ano ang hanap mo sa phone. Ano bang features ang gusto mo? Saan mo gagamitin, pang-business ba, pang-libangan o pang-porma lang? You can't have everything on a phone, so choose the one with the most features you like. Kung portability, 6260 siguro. Kung screen size/resolution, 6630. Something like that.

We could enumerate the virtues, pros and cons of each model. Or we could use the site's bandwidth for more relevant threads instead. In the end, kung saan ka masaya, e di dun ka. Simple, right? Rule of thumb: if you're old enough to get a new phone, you should also be old enough to make up your mind, hehehe.

    Hi stinkaboy,

Wag na 6260 ang bilhin mo. Wait na lang natin yung 6630, mas ok yun, pwede mag Video Call Conferencing via EDGE. Pag mayron tayo tig-isa nun magkikita tayo during our calls! Malapit na lumabas yun, tina-type approve na sa Smart…

kakaiba ang 6260... just fiddled around with it yesterday...

the navi keys are placed on the upper clamshell... nokia is claiming that it is good for web browsing... but in clamshell mode it is just ridiculous... they should have just placed redundant navikeys on both the upper and lower clams...

plus, the navi key is just too damn hard to press!!!

    Hello again stinkaboy,

But if you have decided to buy N6260, just be aware of these bugs:

First, the alarm clock. When setting the tone, it plays a hell loud. However, when the alarm goes off, it is almost inaudible weak, tough with a strong vibration (the vibrator is louder than the alarm!). This is regardless if "silent" or whatever profile selected, and regardless wether the phone is ON or OFF when the alarm goes off.

Second, the mp3 player (Real Player). It is not stereo, ok, you can live with that. But when playing a mp3, first the sound quality is BAD (no audible difference between a 192kb/s and a 56 kb/s version of the same song with either headset or speaker!) and, more important, the volume control doesn't work! It plays at a fixed volume, using the navigation key lefty or right does move the "volume" slider icon on the display, but it does not play louder or softer. Only when the slider reaches "0", it turns the sound OFF.

Third, SMS can NOT be saved to MMC! In the "help" you will find that item, it describes how to do it and then (ha ha) mentions "This setting may not be available". It is in fact not available. Why? Maybe because this phone has a hot-swapable MMC?

Fourth, when losing signal (basement or subway!) the 6260 loves to hard crash. It then displays only "Nokia" on the display, won't react to any button. Only removing the battery and re-inserting it brings it back to life.

That were all the bugs that were found so far. But i am impressed with what those Symbians can do - so now i want one for myself, too. Not a 6260 but 6630.

    Kindest regards.....
    Pete
