    Was informed by someone I know that the PSE Bull Run is coming up and among the runs being hosted is the 3k fun run which is Free. My new year's resolution was to get out and be more active and this is interesting. They say that the 3k course is roughly from the Adidas Sportscamp to the Libingan ng Bayani and back to the sportscamp. Anyone interested can check their site pse.org.ph

    Personally am looking to make it a regular habit as health is imperative as we get older.

    when i was a lot younger used to join a lot of 10K fun run before.
    practice siguro muna ako baka mag collapse ako kahit na 3K lang yan

    is hard to access yet I got a contact number off it. 747-0383 and 688 7537 to 38.

    I just had them fax me a registration form by texting 0919 448 9046

    It is scheduled for the 27th of Januaryat 5:30 am sa Fort. Aga ba?

    According to the groups there are regular runs up to rainy season. Will update you guys since I will try to get back into it.

    3k wala pang 10mins yan sa normal runner hehehe kung ave runner ka mga 15mins matagal na yon sana man lang ginawa nilang 10K

    Na check ko po ang sites nya. Para sa magaling natin na tsikoteers diyan may 5k at 10k sila.

    Baka kaya nila Eddie Bauer at BackSpace po yung mas mahabang kurso dahil sisiw sa kanila ang 3k?

    Sa computation ko po kung sampung minuto ang 3km eh di dapat mga 18km/hr ang bilis niyo. Sa nakuha po sa Google pag lalong lumalayo lalong bumabagal. Tulad ang 1km na 9.5mph. Kung mabilis po kayo tumakbo ba't di kayo mag SEA. Baka maka-medal pa po kayo.

    ang average time ko dati sa 10K run is a little over 1 hr.
    pinipilit ko ngang maging less than an hour pero d ko na magawa.
    hoping na maka sali and maging finisher ako ngayon kahit 3K run man lang this year

    puro takbo sir... pacing, proper breathing and practice ang kailangan.. kahit gaano kahaba makakaya mong takbuhin..
    pangarap ko ngang maging marathon finisher 42K yun kaso hindi ko na nagawa...
    sana ngayong middle age na ako (mid 40's) magawa ko na
    next month siguro pwde na akong sumali sa 3K fun run then work my self up and eventually makatakbo ulit ako sa 10K.

    Completed it yesterday and it was good. Running regularly (as in three times a week for the past two weeks) helped. Made good time and actually ran into a tsikoteer I know who has done a triathlon or two. He sprinted out fast off the start but I didnt follow temptation to keep up and kept my pace. I picked it up and did fairly decent. Also saw some people I know who were running the longer courses. There were lots of racers and that was good to see.

    It was funny as the Embassy crowd was going home they were surprised to see the runners coming in. Pretty hilarious actually.

    Next month there is the Pasig River Marathon. Will train up to take the longer course.

    Seems that there is one around every two weeks sponsored by some group and it runs (pun intended) until the rainy reason where it is put on hold til the next year. That is what I am told. I just get a text everytime one is about to be held since my friend is involved in them. I plan to do the 5k next time and work my way up. Or concentrate on 5k and try to get my best time from it.

    Update: My friend informs me that 17 February is the "Takbo para sa Kalikasan" (sounds like that) at the Quirino Grandstand area. The week after that (sunday after) is the Pasig River Marathon sa may Fort. Both should have 3k,5k and 10k courses.

    Will let you know if I find the contact details.

    I will move up to the 5k run since bitin na sa akin ang 3k. My friends who run the 10k will be exploring half-marathons at 26k ata. Am not sure of exact distance put isn't a full marathon 41-42k?

    Yes lots of children join. Should be better exercise than a Wii. Also they have boundless energy. Plus bonding pa kayo.

    i think 21K ang half marathon, was planning to join that before pero hindi na natuloy.... I think puma used to be the sponsor, ganda ng give away jersey nila for finisher kaya gusto ko dati sumali, then after finishing half marathon sana will move up to a full marathon.... PAL used to sponsor marathons, yun sa Milo kasi may qualifiers pa na half marathon.
    well anyway i'm planning to do all this again.. sana this time will be able to make it, it's even more exciting kasi this time i'm doing it with my son
