Speaking about earthquakes, we should know that everything has a frequency or vibration or vibes. A wine glass has its own frequency. If we apply a strong acoustic signal on this frequency, it will be shattered.

This is a property called resonance. Anything that vibrate on its natural frequency (resonant frequency) could be shattered if a strong outside source of energy (mechanical, magnetic, etc.) is applied on its resonant freq . Bridges, buildings and even small islands could break at their point of resonance.

Scientists found out that during an earthquake, 2.5 hz is present. Modern detectors could detect this vibrations but it will be too late. Elephants could detect this readily. It means that if an elephant is acting in an abnormal manner, it may indicate that an earthquake is eminent!?

Sadly, in this modern world, our technology is not sufficient to predict earthquakes. USGS is the most advanced govt entity to study this phenomenon. They are the world’s most advance geophysicists yet their skill and devices cannot predict quakes. More study, more experiments is needed.

Maraming faultlines sa Batangas at Mindoro. Tectonic ang earthquake at malalim 177km, hindi volcanic.

mount makiling in nearby laguna, is a dormant volcano.
google also says there are at least 15 inactive volcanoes in batangas.
