When I was small, I remember we also had a chicken..which gave us 2 yolks per egg. Since it started to lay eggs..until the day we fried it..it faithfully provided as the double yolk.

December 7th, 2007 08:16 PM #15possible deficiency in vitamins and old age ang common cause niyan. very common sa more than 60wks (52wks lang ang 1 year) old laying chickens.
nothing abnormal about it and should not be a cause of concern.

Where can I buy those eggs with double yolk? I am desperate for some. hehe. Last time I saw eggs with double yolk was when I was around 8 years old. It was given to my Dad ata. 1 tray. Tapos ever since kinukulit ko Dad ko to get some more of those double yolk eggs e he said that he lost touch with the guy that sells those eggs. Everytime I go to the supermarket I look for those eggs talaga but never saw any. I am now in my 20s and I still want those eggs. hehe

Mahirap talaga maghanap ng double yolks sa market. Either bili ka direct from egg dealers (magpa-ipon ka) or go to the poultry farms.

i think they can mutate or genetically manipulate how many yolks would the egg have, but as a normal cycle, it is a part of a hens near expiry
Choice I would have made as well.
