TWO armed men robbed customers of a coffee shop in Quezon City before noon yesterday and made off with a still undetermined amount of cash and valuables.

P02 John Sales, investigator on case, said the incident happened at Seattle’s Best Coffee Shop on Tomas Morato corner Gandia Street, Barangay Sacred Heart at around 11:45 a.m.

Sales added that one of the two suspects went into the establishment, announced a holdup and divested the customers seated near the door of cellular phones, watches, wallets, bags and even eye glasses. He did not take the store’s earnings.

His companion, on the other hand, remained at the door and acted as a lookout.

“In less than five minutes, they were able to gather the personal belongings of the customers and left on board a motorcycle,” Sales said.

The suspects were described as well-dressed, dark skinned, of medium build, approximately 5’7” and 5’10” in height and between 30 and 35 years old.

Armed men? Ano dala nila? Balisong, baril, toy gun? ANo kaya pinantakot nun? Kung dalawa lang sila without a gun eh kaya siguro i subdue.

Wala bang guard yon usually? Alam ko Starbucks has a guard, same branch sa Tomas Morato. We frequented that place when my wife was studying for her boards.

Shop nowadays should have surveilance cams for their security. Hindi naman ganun ka mahal ang SC eh.

That's just half the solution, the other half is recognizing them and trying to ID them via their faces/witnesses which leads to arrests. I wouldn't trust the government enough in this case, IMHO. Sad, really, if you think about it.
