sa basilan daw, a friend from the south told me, napakaganda daw ng beach duon, close to boracay if not better.

It was an strategic error for the Nep leadership to target cellsites.
The unspoken rule is - never harm installations that in any way hamper the Filipino masses' texting lifestyle.

O di, sibilyan na mismo ang nagsatsat. Galit siguro dahil wala na siyang signal.

Its all about money. When I was working with a Telco, they would send a letter addresed to management demanding payment of "revolutionary taxes" . Otherwise, they'd set fire or bomb your transmission tower. I think their international funding is drying up especially after they were labelled as a terrorist organization.

Pati nga mga contractor from mainland China (a communist country, mind you) pinag-babayad nila.

That's the whole point. "For the people". Yeah, right, blow up stuff that belongs to the people. "E-VAT ibasura!". Then charge "revolutionary taxes".

    Hypocrites.

It's about time the campaign vs. the NPAs went into full throttle. KILL THEM ALL!

Yup. Dami ko ring kilala sa north na nag-su-suffer sa business dahil sa extortion ng NPA.

My cousin's wedding was almost ruined when they bombed the cell-site in Sta. Rosa... puro kami Globe doon, dahil ang hina ng signal ng SMART sa Biņan.

Did they think they could go on bombing cell-sites? If they'd targetted other businesses, people wouldn't touch them... but once you hamper the masa's ability to text... patay kang bata ka!

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

another 10 of the bandits offed...

The Philippine army said on Thursday it had killed at least 10 communist rebels from the New People's Army (NPA) in running gun battles in mountainous villages south of the capital.

Major-General Alexander Yano said the fighting, which began on Sunday, was triggered by a rebel raid on an army detachment in a farming village in Catanauan town, on the Bondoc peninsula.

"We have recovered, so far, at least 10 bodies," Yano told reporters. "We have deployed extra troops to run after the rebels that fled to Mulanay and San Narciso towns."
