That depends. The mechanical bits would have similarities (not all) on some model ranges. BUT, the mouldings, trims, aesthetic bits may be pricier and hard to find.
A suggestion if I may. Try your restoration skills on the more "available" models on the MB range, like a W115 or a W123. Then if you're really up to it, go for the higher models. Restoring is about doing it right and period correct, and it takes a lot of patience, not to mention money.
I saw several 107's in sulit, but they're priced a bit on the high side.
Recall portion: You're in Baguio right? Across the Shell gas station, on the road going to Marcos highway, last time I was there, I saw a W115 parked on the side of the road. Could be a worthwhile project, at least you know its running.

I like the w123. But i'm more into 2 doors right now! Anymore suggestions?
From the ranges that I know, you can try the more newer R129 SL's. Or the more classic range W113 Pagoda's. The R129's are kinda rare here in the Philippines.
I know quite a number of W113 Pagoda owners, but I think they are not selling.
W126 has coupe versions din pala, but then again quite rare here in the Philippines. Both W115/4 and W123 were sold in coupe versions as well. Good luck in your hunting.![]()

The convertibles are more collectible than the coupes (SLC)
the bigger the engine, the better
late model 560s are the best, but are rare
Your best bet is a 450SL
R129s are rubbish
A Giant heavy convertible built for posers
But the V12.......
I last saw a W113 pagoda for 2.2m
Theyre quite expensive these days
