Me tanong lang po. Just to have an idea what is overhauling all about.

What are the parts needed to replace when you overhaul an engine?

Since naka baba na makina, what are the things you should ask the mechanic to do with the engine to make it perform close to a brand new one?

Suggest you have your engine undergo compression test before performing any engine overhaul. Otherwise puro palit pyesa gagawin ng mechanic mo without any proper diagnosis. Avoid Hawaiian (Hula Hula), Tantiameter, kapa kapa method of engine diagnosis. Madugo presyo ng Mercedes Benz parts, even older models.

Thank you for the reply. Actually sir what im just asking is the procedure of overhauling, the usual wear and tear parts that needs to be replaced when you bring down the engine? No issues about my engine, just want to know what is overhauling all about in a benz engine. Salamat.

depende kung top overhaul or general overhaul yung gagawin. . . pag top overhaul cylinder head lag ang ibababa dahil hanggang dun lang yung extent ng damage ng engine mo, then kung general overhaul buong makina ang ibababa,

last january ngpa general overhaul ako ng w201 190e

piston ring and and valve seal lang dapat papalitan pero dahil nakababa na yung makina inadvise ng mechanic ko na palian na yung mga ibang parts para siguradong tatagal yung makina ko. . .

overhauling kit

hindi pa kasama dyan yung mga langis na gagamitin, oil filter saka yung bayad sa machine shop.

hindi biro ang magpa general overhaul it cost me my arm and my leg and almost sold my kidney. but kidding aside madugo talaga piyesa ng benz and i learned it the hard way.

Actually that is what im asking since nakababa na makina might as well palitan na rin yun usual wear and tear parts na nasisira. Para one time big time na gastusan.

What about sa engine body meron ba dapat ipa machine shop dito o di naman kelangan?
