My sister has the GLA180. Tiny in the back and very underpowered.

Wait for the facelifted version if you are hell bent on getting it and get the GLA200 for more power.

I'd rather get the Lexus NX or Lexus UX

Nx200T would also be my suggestion.

Among the small CUVs, the X1 is my top pick.

Easily more spacious than the GLA and NX - in fact it's got roughly the same interior space as the prev gen X3 even if it has a smaller body (thanks to primarily FWD layout vs X3's primarily RWD layout).

BMW's 2.0 diesel is also a gem and is the perfect engine for city use with the occasional out of town trip. Frugal yet very torquey.

I once had a chat with a neighbor who has an NX300 and he told me that he observed it is more efficient than their Subaru XT. They also have an IS350 which he finds to consumes more gas than the NX300.

I am not sure though how the NX compares to the GLA in terms of comfort and features.

Is the X1's ride a lot firmer than the X3's though? Or are they comparable. Not that I'm buying. Just wondering which one I should dream about. 🙂

The BMW X1 uses run flat tires ... What about the others? ... How's the ride quality of the Lexus UX?

Let's hear it out from EQ. He did have a Q5 before. It is within the class of the BMW X3 and Merc GLC.

*slyfox - any thoughts of considering a Mini Countryman?

yes the countryman did cross my mind. but a BIG MINI seems a bit of a contradiction no? maybe it's just me pero para siyang awkward. same thing with the lexus. all the features are great. but personally the styling is a bit too...futuristic. pero again that's just my humble opinion

as for the x1 i think it's totally overpriced

All the Euro's are overpriced inho. If you have the money though... Go for it.

I did.... Though i immediately regretted it wahahaha. The Q5 was fun and fast and a tech showcase ... But it looked bleh from the outside and had no presence.
