240TD Auto Uphill

Tanong ko lang kung ano ang kayang speed ng 240TD Automatic pag uphill? Parang kasing mas mabilis pa yung mga tricicle at medyo nakakatako sa sobrang bagal, pakiramdam ko parang nasa 30km/h lang kaya, pero sa flat ok naman sakto lang yung bilis. Balak ko kasi paayos kung kaya naman nya umakyat ng mas mabilis.

Foot to the floor? Even if you shift it into 2 or L?

Yes, mag kikick down yung gear pero speed is still the same.

How does it accelerate on level ground? Sounds like a converter not locking up. Tranny go bye bye.

On level ground, wala naman problema. may hatak naman and sounds normal. sa uphill lang gusto ko malaman kung ano dapat kaya nyang speed para makapag decide ako if I'll have it fixed. Kung hanggang 30km/h lang when going uphill eh parang hindi na worth it.

how steep is the angle/grade? A 240TD/D is not really a fast/powerful car especially on AT trim.. but it being a diesel, it will chug along and get you to your destination. However, a 240TD fully loaded on a steep grade...hmm... can't really say..my friends tried a 200D MT going up cloud nine long time ago.. lima sila sa loob.. nakaakyat naman.. of course hinde ito yung exit road ha..

Thanks, I'm not sure kung ano yung angle but yung road along sumulong near Valley Golf mag stastart na sya mag slow down. Kaya ba nya tumakbo at least 50km/h on that angle?

just saw this thread now. whatever happened to your car sir sid25? 240TD, so it's a station wagon but with a turbo diesel engine? it shouldn't have any trouble going uphill if you shift 2, then D pag nakabwelo na...

Based on my experience with my 190d 2.5 going to baguio via Kennon road ok naman. kapag nawawalan ng bwelo sa zigzag i just drop it to 2, then pag nakabwelo na balik sa D and it goes up to 60kph uphill...but of course on steep climbs and curves you gotta slow down.

Just my 2 cents, even if it's 2 years delayed. hehe
