    He was already planning to branch out a loooooong time ago. He resigned as EIC a long while back, if I recall.

    I don't know all the sordid details, and I'm too polite to ask. This calls to mind the first mass resignation at that magazine... and then that horrible departure by Tito Hermoso... (too polite to ask him, either)... wherein he just dumped all his company stuff on the desk and left. Felt sorry for him. Tito's style wasn't my favorite, but there is probably no guy in the industry who poured so much personal content into each issue... important at a time when they were struggling for content.

    The mag simply can't seem to hold onto key people...

    Without James, the magazine still has a number of regulars, but they've lost their "superstar" and that's gotta hurt.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    bakit yung mga sosy crowd pag natatapat sa tv eh parang mabubulol magtagalog na umaaccent pa kala mo hindi dito pinanganak..... jan ako natatawa eh buti sana kung mayayaman talaga....

    eh kung sino pa tunay na mayaman eh direcho magtagalog....

    kasi mga social climber gusto nila isipin ng mga tao rich kid sila

    eh ang alam nila sa rich kid di marunong mag tagalog kasi lumaking speaking english sa bahay at sa school

    so pa-english english, pa-taglish taglish

    I used to like James Deakin but not anymore. I do agree that he was become a social media whore. I hate "social media influencers" because they give the impression that they are giving genuine reviews opinion of a product when in fact they are paid by companies to advertise their product.

    Marami na din masa followers si JD, I think mga galling top gear. Pang attract pa niya yung mga raffle niya.

    My ex told me recently to stop following JD. Inaasar ako na jologs He sees it pala pag nag like ako ng post kahit hindi siya follower ni JD.
